Coffman & Company is the holding title for James R. Coffman's professional ventures and properties. Coffman & Company encompasses his independent counseling and psychotherapy practice (Coffman Counseling Services) at Asylum on the Coffman Farm, located between Dyersburg, Brownsville and Ripley, Tennessee, Pastoral Counseling Mid-South at the same site, The Emmanuel Counseling Center, Memphis at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, and the Coffman Farm in northeast Lauderdale County Tennessee..

1. Independent clinical practice (Coffman Counseling ) at Asylum on the Coffman Farm. The clinical practice is a general outpatient marital and family therapy and pastoral psychotherapy practice. Sessions are set by appointment by calling Dr. Coffman's office at (731) 612-8544. Sessions are scheduled at 2112 Curve Woodville Road, Ripley, Tennessee 38083-8620. The office is at the south end of the building, with an entrance off the porte cochere.




2. Pastoral Counseling Mid-South. Congregations, judicatories, hospitals and other organizations sometimes have need of clinical pastoral expertise in conducting their missions. Pastoral Counseling Mid-South provides management, clinical services, and training for area institutions. Congregations and judicatories sponsor pastoral counseling centers with facility investments of resources for as little as 1/2 day per week and standard financial support for low income families Wellness and educational programs are available for congregations and other organizations. Dr. Coffman offers consultation services for organizations in conflict or those negotiating change. Through Sabbath Retreats Jim Coffman and his colleagues offer two day retreats for clergy, clergy couples, congregation staffs, and lay couples. He is a Certified Supervisor in the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education and offers educational services in clinical pastoral education.
3. The Emmanuel Counseling Center, Memphis. The Counseling Center is a pastoral counseling center at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 2404 Kirby Road,Memphis, Tennessee 38119. It is the premiere center of Pastoral Counseling Mid-South. Appointments are set on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Call 901-728-6525 to make an appointment.
4. The Coffman Farm. The farm is a Lauderdale County Tennessee property which includes farmland in the Coffman family for more than one hundred years. Asylum, the Coffman house and office, is at 2112 Curve Woodville Road, Ripley, Tennessee 38063-8620. He and his family feel a strong investment in rural community well-being.
